The truth of our world is that our social media is now a form of reality TV and you, yes you, are the star.
The difference is that your audience is probably not looking for another Big Brother episode, but rather snapshots of your business and life that helps them relate to you. This can often look like behind the scenes of your business, your morning routine, the books you're reading, the coffee you drink, your wine of choice...
It doesn’t need to be a big production, it doesn’t need to take up hours of your time each day. Really, a 5 minute daily check is enough to keep your audience engaged and interested in what you have to say. And they want to know you’re normal, so they know the message you’re selling is attainable.
We don’t need any more superhumans, we just need our ordinary selves. Post a reel about your exercise, go live over meal prep, jump on stories to talk about your face-palm moment of the week. Some of my greatest engagement and connection moments have come from simply inviting people into my very normal life.
Pick up your phone, turn on your camera and let your community in.
Ordinary is where connection is at, and it can be simple - if you let it be.
